Side-by-side intro sequences: Original Hawaii Five 0 vs. Hawaii Five 0 Reboot

With Mad Men and Game of Thrones back, I’m starting to enjoy TV again. Speaking of TV, I’d like to share with you one of my favourite intro sequences from a show I used to watch when I was a kid, Hawaii Five 0.

Through the magic of cyberspace, here’s a side by side comparison of the two intros from 60s/80s (sorry, I’m not sure when this intro was from) and the reboot from 2011. Enjoy and let me know in the comments below which movie/TV show reboots you like.

A Token from Mary Pickford

My wife’s grandpa gave me this old coin to sell. He found it on the lot of Mary Pickford’s childhood home when his company demoed her house. It’s an old milk coin — “good for 1 quart”, it says — but I’m curious to know more about its Toronto history. And by the way, I did a quick eBay check for similar coins and it seems that the going rate is around $2 to $10. Oh well, it was a nice piece of history nonetheless.
